Extraboard Rotation Properties

Extraboard rotation properties are defined in Employee Rotation Rules in Extra Board Types ancillary data. You can set up properties for each agency, or for all agencies.

Property Description
Accumulate By List Type If selected, hours will be accumulated for each extraboard type and only work performed or refused based on each type will be considered. If not selected, work assignments won't be filtered and the accumulated hours will be the same for all Extraboard types.
Add ReliefVacation employee to Extraboard List If selected, ReliefVacation employees are added to the extraboard list.
Consider Assignment Refusal If selected, assignment refusals will also be considered when accumulating hours for the purpose of extraboard rotation.
Consider Previous Sequence If Same SignUp If selected, the extraboard sequence on the first day of a new pay period in a sign up period (for fixed route divisions) or bid period (for demand response divisions) reflects accumulated hours on the preceding day. The extraboard sequence is based on employee seniority on the first day of a new sign up period or bid period.
Extraboard Rotation Method Specifies the extraboard rotation method:
  • Regular
  • Accumulated Hours
  • Bid Standby Time
  • Custom
Force to Check Extraboard Bid Unit If selected, the system checks that the employee being assigned has an employee type included in the extraboard bid unit Employee Types ancillary group. If not, an error message is shown and the assignment isn't allowed.
Include Hold-down Operator on List If selected, hold-down operators are included in the daily extraboard list.
Include Operators Assigned to Work If selected, operators assigned work are included in the daily extraboard list.
Include RDO Employees on List If selected, extraboard operators are included in the daily extraboard list on their regular days off.
Number of Extraboard Employees to Rotate (All Divisions) Specifies the number of extraboard operators to rotate.

This property only takes effect if OPS > Extraboard Rotation > Rotate Employees Within Their Home Division is not selected and OPS > Extraboard Rotation > Extraboard Rotation Method is set to Regular.

Pay Code Group Specifies the pay code group used by custom extraboard rotation methods.
Period to Accumulate Time Specifies the period for accumulating time:
  • Signup
  • Weekly Pay
  • Biweekly Pay
  • Week
  • Month
  • Manual
Post Processing Method Specifies the post processing method:
  • None
  • Custom
Restrict Operator to Single Extraboard List If true, the employee can't be assigned to a second list.
Rotate Employees Within Their Home Division This property only takes effect if OPS > Extraboard Rotation > Extraboard Rotation Method is set to Regular.

If selected, operators are rotated within their divisions based on the number specified by division in the OPS Master Divisions ancillary data screen. Otherwise, the value specified in OPS > Extraboard Rotation > Number of Extraboard Employees to Rotate (All Divisions) is used.

Show Daily Hours If the Accumulated Hours rotation method is selected, the value of the Context date's rotation hours will be calculated and shown on the Daily Employee List screen.
Skip Absent Employees During Extraboard Rotation Specifies rotation handling for absent extraboard operators:

  • Rotate More
Top Employees That Always Rotate Specifies the number of top extraboard employees to rotate.
Use Regular Extraboard On a Holiday If selected, the system ignores the holiday extraboard list when building the daily employee list for a holiday.
Working Status Group Specifies the Working Status ancillary group used by custom extraboard rotation methods.
