When to Synchronize Daily Absences

Synchronizing daily absences lets you apply absence rules to absences.

In Absence Types ancillary data, you can specify whether absences are recognized as absences when they occur on employees’ regular days off or on holidays. You can also enter rankings that determine which absences are recognized as absences when they coexist on the same day.

To apply these rules to operators’ absences, absences must be synchronized. Synchronizing absences involves determining which operator absences are recognized as absences (according to their absence type settings), and whether they occur on days off, holidays, or with coexisting absences. To make sure that absences are correctly recognized, absences must be synchronized when any of the changes listed in the following table occur.
